What is the Dashboard?
By default, unless configured otherwise, the Dashboard is where new Clients/Prospects will be taken directly after they login successfully. You can use the Dashboard to welcome them with information that most closely fits your needs & their needs. Dashboard Widgets are the primary tools for displaying and arranging this information.
What are Dashboard Widgets?
Dashboard Widgets give you some flexible options to provide a shortcut to Prospects/Clients that helps them view or access information or resources that lie deeper in the Portal.
Customizing your personal Dashboard Widget layout
You can easily drag-n-drop the individual widgets into a layout you like, as well as set default layouts for all of your various user roles in your SuiteDash account. To get started editing the Dashboard layout, just hover over and click the gear icon at the top right of any one of the widgets on your Dashboard.
From there, you can grab any of the widgets you are not using from the top-left, and drag them down into your Dashboard to get the layout you want.
Customizing Dashboard Widget layout for each Role
In the same area, you can use the "Edit Widgets" dropdown to select a particular role, and edit the default layout for that role in the same drag-n-drop fashion.
If you choose a role other than the Admin roles, you will have the options of enabling or disabling each Widget individually.
How to make a Widget Layout for a specific Role?
To assign a configuration for a specific Role, you'll first choose that Role from the drop-down menu.
After you select the Role, you would then need to Enable each widget that you plan to use by clicking the switch to the ON position. After the Widget has been changed to the ON position, you can drag it down into the layout.
After you have the Dashboard Widgets the way you want them, you'll want to click the Save button.
It's important to know that after you exit this editing mode, the Widgets you see will return to what you have set for YOUR default configuration. You will NOT see the configuration that you made for the specific Role you just worked on. To see this, you'll need to either impersonate a user with that Role, or use a test user login to see it from their side.
