Zapier Integration

What is Zapier?

Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your favorite apps. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration. Move info between your web apps automatically, so you can focus on your most important work. It's easy enough that anyone can build their own app workflows with just a few clicks.

How do I start using Zapier?

To get started, navigate to Flyout Menu > Integrations.

In the Zapier section, click the Use our Zapier integration button.

You'll then be directed to the SuiteDash landing page on the Zapier website.

To start, you'll want to decide how you want to construct your Zap.

A Zap consists of a Trigger and an Action. You can see a list of available Triggers and Actions on this page.

When you're ready to make your first Zap click the Connect SuiteDash to 5,000+ apps button.

Let's set up a simple first Zap using the platform as the Trigger. Begin by naming your Zap.

Click under Event click to pull up the dropdown and make your selection. For this example, we will select New Contact. Then click the Continue button.

Here you will be prompted to sign in to your SuiteDash account. A window will appear with a Token and User ID field.

A window will appear with a  Token and User ID field.

Back in the Integrations page in your SuiteDash account, you will see the Token and User ID fields you will need to copy and paste.

Now your account is successfully connected! You will be able to select this account in the dropdown menu any time you'd like to create a Zap. Next, click Continue.

Zapier will now Test the Trigger. For this example, you will already need to have a Contact created in SuiteDash.

Once Zapier has detected a Contact you will be able to continue setting up your Zap.

From here you will need to choose the app that you want to connect SuiteDash with. For this example, we'll be using  Scoro.

Choose Create or Update Person. Then click Continue.

Click on the required fields and assign the correct information. For this example we are transferring SuiteDash data to Scoro, so only the First Name and Last Name are required.

Zapier will prompt you to run a test to ensure the Zap is functional. Once the test is successful, you can Publish your Zap!

This example creates a Person in  Scoro whenever you create a Contact in SuiteDash.

How do I use Zapier to create Companies?

Because of how Companies are created in SuiteDash, there's an extra step involved when configuring Zapier.

For this example, let's make a Zap that creates a new Primary Contact + Company in SuiteDash when a Person + Organization is created in Pipedrive

Choose Pipedrive as the Trigger app, and select New Person. If it's your first time using this app, test the trigger and ensure that Zapier pulls the correct information from your Pipedrive account.

Now select SuiteDash as the Action app, and select Create Contact.

Assign the correct values to Role, First Name, Last Name, and Primary Email.

Since Pipedrive doesn't store the First Name and Last Name in separate fields, you will need to manually assign the correct values.

Although the Company field isn't marked as required, you'll need to input the information by clicking on the Custom tab, and assigning the "Org Name" value.

You will also need to input the True value into the Create Company If No Exact Match field.

Zapier will run a test. If successful, you will see the new Contact in CRM > Contacts...

...and the new Company in CRM > Companies!
