A.I. Rewrite
What is A.I. Rewrite?
A.I. Rewrite rewrites the wording of something you have already written, without touching how it is put together. You describe what it should say instead, and the platform changes the words while leaving the formatting, layout and Dynamic Data Placeholders exactly as they are.
It works in two ways:
- A single field, such as a Task description or a Form's HTML Content block. The new wording appears right where you are working, and you choose Keep or Discard.
- A whole page built with the Content Block Editor: a Marketing Campaign, a Portal Page or an LMS lesson. Every piece of writing on the page is rewritten, and the result lands in a new copy, named after the original with (A.I. Rewrite) added. Your original is never changed.
TIP: Nothing is saved until you choose it. A single-field rewrite waits for Keep, and a whole-page rewrite is a copy you can simply decline.
Where do I find it?
In options menus, A.I. Rewrite is marked with a sparkles icon. It appears wherever your Staff already edit the content:
- Tasks: in the three-dot menu on All Tasks, My Tasks and a Project's Tasks list, and beside the Task Description title inside an open Task.
- Projects: under each of the two description fields on the Project edit form.
- FLOWS: in the editor of a Content step.
- Forms: in the Edit Content panel of an HTML Content block.
- Quizzes: under the question text in the question editor.
- Marketing Campaigns and Email Cannons written in the plain editor: above the body of the message.
- Whole pages: in the options menu of Marketing Campaigns and Portal Pages built with the Content Block Editor, and of lessons in an LMS course's Manage Dashboard.
A field must be saved once before it can be rewritten. You only see A.I. Rewrite on content you are allowed to edit, and only if your account has the A.I. Service add-on or its own connected A.I. account. On the Campaigns and Portal Pages lists, items that were not built with the Content Block Editor show the menu item greyed out rather than hidden, so you can tell the difference between the feature not existing and it not applying here.
How do I rewrite a single field?
- Click A.I. Rewrite beside or under the field. An instruction box opens.
- Say what you want, for example "shorter and friendlier" or "aimed at first-time buyers". If your account has saved prompts, you can pick one instead of typing.
- Choose Rewrite. The new wording usually appears within seconds, with Keep and Discard.
- Keep or Discard. Discard leaves the field exactly as it was.
On a Task, Keep saves the description straight away. Everywhere else, Keep places the new wording in the field, and it is saved the way that screen normally saves: with the Save button on Projects, Forms, Quizzes and Campaigns, and automatically in a FLOW Content step.
TIP: A kept rewrite is ordinary text. If you want to change a word or two afterwards, just edit it.
How do I rewrite a whole page?
- Open A.I. Rewrite from the options menu. The A.I. Rewrite Preview opens.
- Say what you want. The instruction box asks you to describe what this should say instead, for example a shorter version, a friendlier tone, or wording aimed at a different audience.
- Choose Rewrite. The page reports its progress as it goes, telling you how many of the pieces of writing are done and how long it has been running.
- Review the result, then open the rewritten copy if you want to keep it. You can also run another rewrite straight away.

TIP: A long page can take a while. You do not have to sit and watch it: you are told you can carry on with something else and will be notified when it is ready. If your connection drops, the rewrite keeps running and still notifies you.
What does a rewrite leave alone?
Only the words change. Everything that makes the page work stays exactly as it is:
- Rows and Columns, and the Block types and their order
- Fonts, colours, padding and images
- Button targets and the Automations behind them
- Dynamic Data Placeholders, with their fallbacks
- Per-Block Circle permissions
On a Marketing Campaign the tracking and unsubscribe elements are preserved in the same way. Content that comes from a reusable Row is never reached, so a shared Row cannot be altered by rewriting one page that uses it.
IMPORTANT: In the preview, Dynamic Data Placeholders are shown as their raw tokens on purpose. A filled-in value would look identical whether the placeholder survived the rewrite or the A.I. simply typed a name, so seeing the token is your evidence that the binding is intact.
Can I save an instruction to use again?
Yes. Give an instruction a name and save it, and it joins your account's saved prompts for anyone to pick next time instead of retyping it. Saved prompts are offered in the rewrite box on Tasks, Projects, FLOWS, Forms and plain-editor Campaigns, and on the A.I. Rewrite Preview. The Quiz question editor does not offer them yet.
An account can hold a limited number of saved prompts. When you reach the limit you are told, and you can delete one you no longer use to make room.
What if it cannot run, or does not finish?
In every one of these cases nothing is changed, and the message tells you which case it is and what to do next.
- The content is not from the Block editor. Whole-page rewrites work on Content Block Editor content only.
- The page is too large, or has too many separate pieces of writing. For too many pieces, rewrite a section at a time or split the page up. Size, though, comes from images and formatting rather than wording, so a section at a time will not help there.
- There are no words to rewrite yet. Add some content first.
- What you asked for produces text that is too long for the space. Rewrites into another language often do this. Ask for a shorter version, or work a section at a time.
- The content was edited while the rewrite was running. The result is thrown away rather than applied to the wrong version, and you start again.
- A.I. Rewrite is turned off for the workspace, or it has been used too many times in a short period.
If an attempt fails you are also told what it cost: an attempt on your own connected A.I. account is billed by your provider directly, while a failed attempt on the paid service does not consume your account's A.I. allowance.
TIP: If the copy a whole-page rewrite produced is later deleted, asking for the same rewrite again within 30 days of the rewrite finishing rebuilds it from the saved result at no A.I. cost. After that, the same request runs as a new rewrite.
