BLOCKS: Documents Block
What is the Documents Block?
The Documents Block brings your Documents onto a Dashboard, so the ones waiting on you sit where your day starts instead of behind a separate menu. It mirrors your Documents list: the Documents awaiting your signature are pinned at the top, your own Documents show by default, and it carries the list's own filters, sort, search and row actions. These are the same Documents, not a copy, so anything you do in the Block happens in Documents.
One Block serves everyone. Staff and Clients both see it, and each person sees only the Documents they would see on the Documents list.
How do I add the Documents Block?
Edit a Dashboard, add a Block, and choose Documents from the gallery. It is placed deliberately and is never on by default.

The Block's options open as soon as you add it, and you can reopen them at any time:
Block Title: The heading shown on the Block. Block Icon and Icon Color set the mark beside it.
Show # Results: How many rows appear before Show More: 5, 10, 15 or 20. It starts at 5.
Block Height: Fixed, Auto or a height you set.
Assignment: Whether the Block opens on Mine or All. It starts on Mine.
Date Range: Last 7, 30 or 90 Days. It starts at 30.
Default Order: Created newest or oldest first, Title A to Z or Z to A, Target A to Z or Z to A, or Status. It starts on Created, newest first.

TIP: You can place more than one Documents Block, and each keeps its own settings. Whatever a viewer changes for themselves, the view, the status, the window and the sort, is remembered for that Block on that device, and never changes what anyone else sees.
What does the Block show?
The Documents that need your signature lead, in a pinned Awaiting my signature group, however old they are. Below that, a Staff member sees Mine by default, meaning Documents they created or are a named signer on, with All one switch away. A Client sees only the Documents addressed to them. The rest are newest first, within the chosen window.
A Staff row carries the Document title, the Target with their avatar, the created date, and a status badge in the Documents list's own wording and colour. The note beside the Block title counts the Documents awaiting your signature.

The list stays glanceable: a first batch shows, Show More reveals more, and View All Documents opens the full list. When there is nothing to show, the Block says so rather than sitting empty.
How do I filter, sort and search?
The Block's controls sit in its header on the Dashboard itself. They are deliberately hidden while you are editing the Dashboard, so do not expect them in the builder.

Date Range: A pill showing the current window. Switch between the last 7, 30 and 90 days.
Filter: The funnel picks one thing to narrow by, and its control then appears in a strip under the header. Narrow by Assignment (Mine or All, Staff only), by Status using the Documents list's own values, or by text. A badge on the funnel counts how many things are narrowing the list once you step away from the controls.
Search: Type three characters or more to search the Document title and the Target's name.
Sort: The same orders offered in the Block's settings.
Refresh: Re-asks for the list. The Block does not poll on its own.
If your role may create Documents, a + in the header opens the Add Document page.
How do I act on a Document?
Click a row and a details panel opens at the edge of the Dashboard, showing the Target and the Created date, with Open and Close. Open takes you to the Document page, exactly as a row of the Documents list does. Signing always happens on the Document page, never inside the Block, and a draft opens in its editor.
Each row's options menu is the Documents list's own menu for that Document, with the same options and the same permissions, so you can Resend, view the Audit Trail, Copy link, Mark as Void and so on. After an action that changes the Document, the Block refreshes itself quietly.
Who can see the Documents Block?
The Block appears only for people whose role can reach the Documents list, and it shows each person exactly what they would see there. Administrators and Office Managers see everything, including drafts. Other Staff see the Documents addressed to them and the Client Documents their role allows. Clients see only the Documents addressed to them, and never drafts.
IMPORTANT: The Block grants no new access. It follows your existing Documents permissions exactly, re-checked every time it loads, so a person only ever sees and does what Documents already allows them. If their access is removed, the Block quietly removes itself from their Dashboard. The standard per-Block access options for role, Circle, team and user still apply on top.
TIP: The Documents Block is offered on Dashboards only. It is not available on Portal Pages, Public Pages, Proposals, Lessons or the other Content Block Editor surfaces.
