My Own Meeting Link for Appointments

What is My Own Meeting Link?

My Own Meeting Link lets an Appointment Calendar carry the meeting address your business already uses, such as a Doxy.me room, a Whereby room, a hospital portal, or your own fixed video room.

Previously a meeting link only existed if the platform created one through Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Online Meeting, so any business meeting held somewhere else had to be typed into every email template by hand. Now you set the address once per Calendar and every Appointment email tells your Client where to go.

How do I set my own meeting link?

In your Appointment Generator, open the Options menu and choose Auto-Create Meeting. Under Choose Meeting Provider, select My Own Meeting Link, the option that sits alongside Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Online Meeting. It is the only one that needs no connected account.

Enter your address in the Meeting URL field and click Save.

TIP: The address is validated when you save, so a mistyped link is caught on screen rather than in a Client's inbox. It must be a complete web address starting with http:// or https://. Leaving the scheme off returns "Meeting URL is not a valid URL".

Where does my meeting link appear?

Once set, your address is filled in automatically wherever the meeting-link placeholder already appears: confirmations, Reminders, reschedules, cancellations, and the calendar file your Client saves. There is no template editing to do.

TIP: If you already have the address typed into your email templates, it will now appear twice until you remove your hand-typed copy. The platform never edits your template text for you.

What happens when I change or reassign a Calendar?

Existing Bookings keep their address. Correcting a Calendar's link changes future Appointments and leaves already-booked ones exactly as your Client was told. If a Client reschedules, the replacement booking picks up the current address.

It belongs to your business, not one person. The link survives Staff reassignment and carries over when you duplicate a Calendar.
